The Ropley Society was formed in 1985 and its aim is to enhance the community spirit of the village. This is done by:
- Supporting actions which protect and enhance the local environment and rural amenities.
- Commenting on planning applications, highway proposals and becoming involved in major issues of concern to the community.
- Raising awareness of local history, activities and issues.
- Communicating public information to members.
The Society offers support to many other community ventures including the annual Pram Race, the Sports Pavilion, and the village hall and also provides a programme of meetings and talks on topics of local interest, arranging local walks, fund raising concerts and other community gatherings.
