Talk by Angus Berry, Thames Water, on
Floating Solar and Power from Poo!

Wednesday 7th November, 7.30 pm – talk by Angus Berry, Head of Energy and Carbon for Thames Water, the largest water and waste water company in the UK.  Angus has great experience of energy management within Thames Water and previously with BT Group – and he’s an Alton resident.  His challenge is to ensure energy in Thames Water is sustainable for customers, shareholders – and the environment.  At this Energy Alton event, Angus will be talking about their exciting projects on Floating Solar and Power from Poo!    Thames Water’s floating solar photovoltaic development, located on the Queen Elizabeth II reservoir at Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, is the largest of its kind in Europe. The energy is used by their  waste treatment plant.
The event is at Alton Community Centre, Amery Street, Alton, GU34 1HN.  Free entry, bar, all are welcome.
