75 years ago on the 8th May, 1945 Ropley, along with almost every village, town and city celebrated Victory in Europe at the end of a long and devastating World War 11.
This year, 2020, the whole country is being encouraged to mark this special anniversary, which is why the May Day Bank Holiday has changed, so, although there will be many who were born long after the original celebration a special event is being planned in our village for absolutely everyone who wants to join in.
Communities have changed so much in 75 years but it is still important to offer opportunities for people of all ages to come together whenever possible and this event does exactly that!
Please save the date and look out for posters and further details nearer the time.

Would you like to help with this event in any way, if so we would love to hear from you, please get in touch
