SUMMARY:Ride & Stride 2023
DESCRIPTION:\nEvery September the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Historic
Churches Trust (HIHCT) organises Ride and Stride\, the sponsored
fundraising event which encourages you to walk\, cycle\, ride or even drive
to as many churches in Hampshire as you wish to.\n\nThis year Ride and
Stride is being held on Saturday\, 9th September. Over 400 churches are
taking part in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight so there are plenty to
choose from!\nAll three of our churches in the BMRT area are taking part
 – St Nicholas at Bishop Sutton\, St Peter’s at Ropley and St Mary
Magdalene at West Tisted.\nWhy not get a group together and see how many
churches you can visit? Half of the money raised goes to the individual
churches. The remaining money goes to HIHCT to help churches in need of
repair or for building improvements.\nMore information and the sponsorship
forms can be found on the HIHCT website (www.hihct.org.uk) and the St
Peter’s website (stpetersropley.org.uk). Please remember to name one of
our local churches on your form!\n\nIf you have any queries about the
event\, please contact the churchwardens – their names and contact
details are listed on the back page of BMRT.\n\n\nLast year\, Catherine
Harris\, Jeanne Biddle and Janice Stratton took part for St Peter's. They
thoroughly enjoyed it and aim to take part again this year. If you are
thinking about taking part\, Catherine would be happy to talk to you about
what they did. Contact Catherine on 07879483708
