Heading the bill will be internationally r enowned soprano Susan Gritton. Susan has sung many a leading role in most of the world’s top opera houses\, including The Grange. Eleanor Medcalf\ , up-and-coming harpist and Jane Austen expert\, will be accompanying Susa n in the concert in songs well known by Jane Austen.\n\nJoining the sopran o &\; harp duo will be the Choir from Perins School\, Alresford. With s uch a strong performing arts tradition at this fabulous secondary school\, it was a huge opportunity to give these talented pupils a chance to sing alongside a famous singer. Together they will performing a world première – a new setting of a prayer by Jane Austen\, by Ropley-based composer P eter Gritton.\n\nInterspersed between songs will be readings from Jane Aus ten’s letters and novels\, delivered by Henrietta Garden (Vera Gissing i n One Life) and James Larkin (Master Treasurer Fitzwilliam in Wolf Hall).
