Annual Open Meeting on 3rd October 2023:

Our Annual Open Meeting will be held this year in the Ropley Sports Pavilion on Tuesday 3rd October at 7 for 7.30 pm start.  Come and hear how The Courtyard is doing and how you and your friends can help, be that working in the shop, fundraising, making a donation, attending events or coming up with ideas.  We need all the support we can get.

Calling all Card Players: The Courtyard’s Big Bridge Tea on 9th November 2023

We’re having a Bridge Tea from 2 – 5pm in St. Peter’s Church, Church Street, Ropley on Thursday 9th November, to raise funds to help support The Courtyard, your community village shop.  Come and enjoy a sociable afternoon with a delicious tea.  Save the date and see our advert for further details.

Back to School

Make the most of the school run, take a few minutes to pop to the shop to grab a hot chocolate, tea or coffee.  You can pick up ingredients for lunch or dinner or hunker down for a catch up with friends and other parents in our cosy Tack Room but, most importantly, don’t forget your coffee loyalty card!

Autumn Essentials

We’ve got everything you need for whatever this autumn throws at us: soups, curries, pies, locally made chutneys to help you make soul-warming food; as well as cough and cold remedies to fight off the first sniffles.  When you run out of time, energy or inspiration check out our new delicious fishcakes from Hampshire’s own Fabulous Catch Company – you’ll find them in the freezer!  And don’t forget, we are also COOK stockists.

Make the most of your Village Shop

Many of you visit us to use and thus support Ropley Post Office – but did you know that the Post Office is heavily subsidised by the shop?  The brutal truth is that to keep our Post Office we need the shop to succeed and that means we need you to use the shop.  The next time you’re in just to use the Post Office, spare a moment to look around and if we don’t have what you’re after, tell us what that is.  Please don’t assume we’re always more expensive because in many cases we’re not and every £10 sale makes a difference.

And Finally … Halloween!

Don’t be unprepared for those dastardly dressed trick or treaters – arm yourselves with Halloween sweets from the shop.  We will be stocked up, ready and waiting!

Our village shop and Post Office are a mainstay of the village.  Run by friendly, helpful staff and volunteers, we’d love to welcome you in there soon.  We need more volunteers to work 2hr shifts, please ask us for details.
