It was with great sadness that we learnt of the recent death of Ken Ingle, a man who was involved in so many aspects of Village life and will be greatly missed.
Ken was someone who gave generously of his time and expertise to an incredible number of village organisations over many years including, until recently, serving as a governor of our local school for over 30 years. He was one of those rare people who had an impact on a wide range of age groups through his involvement with so many different clubs all of which he carried out in such an unassuming, quietly confident manner. There was always the feeling that all was well when he was around, he was a gentleman, totally irreplaceable and an immense loss to all who knew him and those who benefitted from his involvement, in whatever capacity, in the life of the village.
We extend our sympathy to Angela, James, Caroline and their families and we thank them for sharing Ken, for so many years, with our community.
