Ropley in Bloom Competition

Villagers in Ropley have been given the opportunity to make everyone smile with a competition which involves creating a flower, where no planting, nurturing or watering are required and, most importantly, will not provide a meal for hungry slugs, which can be placed where it can be seen by everyone passing by. The competition is open to everyone, there are five age groups, Pre School, 5-7 Year Olds, 8-10 Year Olds, 11-16 Year olds and Adults and cash prizes, sponsored by the Ropley Fayre Committee, will be awarded in each group.

Flowers can be made from any, weatherproof, materials and should fall into one of the three categories:

  • A Flower to make people Happy.
  • A Flower with a Face.
  • A Flower that tells a Story.

Once the flower, on a stick, has been displayed it should be photographed, marked with the name and address and age group of the creator and emailed to

The competition closes on 22nd June 2020.

The organisers hope that with so many Village events cancelled, including the immensely popular Annual Pram Race, that this will provide an opportunity for the community to work together to create an amazing display and win prizes!
