David Ottley, who lived in the Petersfield Road for many years, recently moved into Jellicoe House, a Royal Naval Care Home in Portsmouth.
David very generously gave the smaller items from his house to go into a Garage Sale, which was held on Saturday, 12th August, with the proceeds going towards the Ropley War Memorial, of which he was a prime mover.
The sale was organised by David’s friend, Maria Flitley, and she was ably supported on the day by Nicky Dennis and Stella Kenny. Thanks to their efforts the sale raised £936, which is a great start towards the War Memorial Fund.
