Pony News 🐴
February has seen the yard burst back into full swing — and it’s been wonderfully busy! We’re delighted to welcome lots of new participants alongside our regular riders, who eagerly look forward each week to spending time with their pony friends.
Our incredible volunteers brave even the coldest, wettest days to support the important work we do. With January and February bringing especially soggy weather, our ponies have been coming in each morning almost unrecognisable — as though they’ve been at mud parties all night! Undeterred, our volunteers roll up their sleeves and work their magic, transforming them back into respectable riding ponies before the first participants arrive.
Broadlands is endlessly grateful for our truly fantastic team of volunteers — we simply couldn’t do it without them.
We are so lucky to have an indoor school where our participants are sheltered from the driving rain and wind!
Fundraising Events – March 2026
We hope you can join us as we welcome Phyllida Lloyd of Mamma Mia fame and many other Film, Theatre and Opera productions as well as our Wreath Making afternoon.
Tuesday 24th March marks our very first Open Morning for prospective volunteers — and we’d love you to join us! It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet the team, including Paige, our Centre Manager, along with our Trustees and current volunteers.
Come along to discover how you can get involved and make a difference. It will be a relaxed and informal morning with plenty of coffee and cake — the perfect setting for a friendly chat!
