We are now the proud stockists of very tasty cakes and brownies and they’re selling fast!  Grab a slice, the next time you pop in for your coffee fix.  Perfect for reviving yourself after a chilly school run, wintry dog walk or just taking a break from the computer.  And if you prefer Danish pastries, don’t fret, we have those too.

Spend £25+ in one transaction in the shop and get a free coffee OR take a coffee loyalty card and buy 5 to get the 6th free.

Set yourself up for a great weekend with a real treat of a loaf, sourdough, baguettes etc.  Come in and talk to us if there’s something specific you would like.

Wander down to The Courtyard for a cheery welcome and to stock up on those winter essentials:

Whether you’re taking part in Veganuary, going low GI or gluten-free options – whatever it might be, we stock all manner of goodies that will fit into whatever plan you need.  Just drop in and ask us to show you round.

Currently we’re looking for:

  • people with graphic design/artistic skills to help us on various projects
  • young people to volunteer in the shop – you need to be a minimum of 14yrs old and have parental consent. The community work experience looks good on CVs and counts towards your D of E.

The shop is used by people of all ages from babies to nonagenarians and we value having a good range of people involved to keep us relevant.  Don’t be shy, just ask the shop volunteers or email

Please use the shop, it’s a community-based enterprise, whose whole ethos is about providing a shop which allows us to then provide much needed services eg prescriptions, post office, community hub.  Please help us to keep these vital services going.

Standing Order Donations:

One way of supporting the shop is via a standing order donation. This can be monthly, quarterly or annual. The advantage of this is you are in control and can amend it as you wish. You might only use the shop occasionally, but would still like to help, to make sure that Ropley always has a village shop and post office, so if you would like to set one up, please call in at the shop or email and we will pass you all the information you need.

If you’re a local business, maybe you’d be open to helping us via sponsoring part of an event, or with print costs.  We’d love to talk to you and see how we can help you promote your business in return.  Please come and chat to us in the shop or email

Our Village Shop and Post Office are a mainstay of the village.  Run by friendly, helpful staff and volunteers, we’d love to welcome you here soon.
