On Monday 22 January, EHDC is launching a public consultation on its Draft Local Plan, a document that will shape the future of the district up to 2040.
The Local Plan is a vital document that will affect all areas of East Hampshire outside the South Downs National Park.
The Local Plan includes proposals for new homes to meet targets laid down by the government. It must also support the health and wellbeing of our residents and make a significant contribution to the fight against climate change.
The six-week consultation will run from 22 January to 4 March.
Cllr Angela Glass, EHDC’s Portfolio Holder for Regulation & Enforcement, said: “The Local Plan is one of the most important pieces of work we do as a council and has a direct impact on everyone that lives and works in the district.
“This is a crucial blueprint for the future of East Hampshire outside the South Downs National Park and I hope everyone takes part in the consultation when it opens on Monday 22 January. Your voice matters.”
The consultation will be conducted on a digital platform, allowing readers to head to the sections that are most important to them and then make their comments quickly and easily.
