Benefice of Bishop’s Sutton, Ropley and West Tisted:
We are looking for someone to provide administrative support on a self-employed basis for the Vicar of the Benefice of Bishop’s Sutton, Ropley and West Tisted. They will also enable the administrative functioning of the church of St Peter’s Ropley.
The administrator will often be the first point of contact with people from both inside and outside the church and needs to be able to support the Vicar in pastoral, missional and administrative areas to help build the positive standing of the church in the community.
The individual must be able to demonstrate strong administrative skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Office, able to work independently, prioritise and have excellent interpersonal skills as well as be comfortable with the culture and ethos of the Christian faith and the Church of England. The post holder will be expected to work on site at St Peter’s Church in Ropley.
We are a very friendly church very much embedded in the local community. There are five church wardens and one deputy church warden in the benefice who are all very approachable and part of three well-established Parochial Church Councils. St Peter’s, having recently undergone a rebuild, is a delightful and vibrant place in which to work.
