Plans are well underway as the new cricket season approaches fast.
Both our Junior and Senior teams have been hard at training. They continue with nets which run through until Easter and they are also involved with matches in various indoor 6 a side winter leagues, either at Winchester sports centre or over at the Dummer indoor cricket centre. Busy times!
Should you wish to come along to any of our nets, they are held at Perins School in Alresford and run by qualified coaches on the following days/times:
Mondays. 6 to 8pm Girls U11 & U13 followed by Seniors 8 to 9.30pm
Thursdays. 6.30 to 8pm Women
Saturdays. 12 to 1pm Junior open.
We start our outdoor training on the rec from Thursday 27th April from 6.30 to 8pm, with Junior cricket going through their paces in the nets and on the outfield.
In conjunction with this we also hold a BBQ on Thursday evenings to help feed the masses. This is open to all in the village, so with the weather no doubt in hand…why not come along with some friends and grab a bite to eat and at the same time enjoy a drink from the Pavillion bar.
In the meantime, early spring means getting the cricket square ready. So, plenty of rolling, marking up the pitches and the inevitable start to some grass cutting. Our first league match is the 6th May. Not long to go now!
If you are interested in joining in, then please do drop us a line.
